My love of storytelling comes from sitting around family kitchen tables in Louisiana, doing what we simply call "visiting." No matter what time of day, the smell of freshly brewed Community Coffee would fill the air as my relatives swapped stories. I always learned something new about myself and how I was connected to others and the world. Whether I am behind a camera or before a canvas, I carry this desire to connect myself and others to our stories and, through them, to heal those parts of ourselves we usually keep out of frame.
